My Mama Said classes are open to all levels of experience. We know that working your butt at the Barre or finding your inner core in Pilates will be new to many, so don’t stress! Our instructors are industry leaders, passionate about creating workouts that challenge your mind and body in just the right way. After all, fitness is not one size fits all.

Barre

Barre is a fusion of Ballet, Pilates and Fitness providing an all-over body workout. It is a high-intensity class, without the high impact. The class is primarily done at the ballet barre. Barre is suitable for anyone who wants to get amazing results whilst genuinely having a good old time!

Barre

Our signature class is a full-body workout that includes a deep core set on the mat and quick stretch to finish.

Barre Stretch

The best of both worlds! Less intense than our signature Barre, it is equal parts strength and stretch. You will still work up a sweat in the Barre part of the class but you will finish with a beautiful, deep stretch, ensuring you feel perfectly balanced.

*Note these classes are a safe and excellent workout for our prenatal clients who have attended our prenatal fitness classes prior.

Pilates

If you have never met your core, or just can’t find where you put it, best you pencil this class in at least once a week. Pilates is a practice which requires deep concentration and connection to the body to develop strength in the abdominals, pelvic floor, lower back, muscles and glutes.

Pilates Mat

A full body workout using small props to challenge and support your workout. It will leave you feeling longer, stronger and more energised.

Pilates Arc

Designed for comfort and support, the Pilates arc is a great class for improving posture, core strength and spinal mobility. You will feel more open, released and aligned after your class.

Sculpt (Heated)

A heated (30–34°C), strength-based workout inspired by Pilates and fitness.
Expect slow-tempo, high-repetition sequences designed to fatigue muscles, build endurance, and create that deep muscle burn.

Please bring a full-sized towel to this class.

Reformer

Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout using a spring-based apparatus to build strength, stability, and flexibility. It focuses on controlled movement, alignment, and core connection to improve posture, balance, and body awareness.

 Classical control meets modern flow in this energising Reformer class. Expect creative sequences, smooth transitions, and smart progressions that challenge strength, stability, and coordination. Build confidence, move with purpose, and leave feeling strong and uplifted.

Reformer – Vibes

Playful • Punchy • Uplifting 

Using the Jump Board, expect fun combos and playful flows that build and leave you feeling lifted and energised. A heart-pumping workout with arse-kicking tunes and just the right amount of spice.

Reformer – Dynamic

Strong • Spicy • Driven

Build strength through precision, progression, and purposeful challenges. This class adds depth to your practice with layered variations, dynamic shapes, and a little extra load; Think longer holds, heavier springs, and focused stability work. This one’s for Reformer folks with prior experience.

Reformer – The OG 

Flowing • Balanced • Classic

Grounded in traditional Pilates with a modern twist, this full-body workout builds strength, control, and mobility through smooth movement sequences. Designed for every body and every level it’s the one you’ll keep coming back to.

Reformer – Stretch 

Mobility • Flexibility • Recovery

A slower, more intentional Reformer class designed to release tension, improve mobility, and support recovery. Using light resistance and deep, active stretches, this class helps you move with more ease, length, and connection.

Fitness

Our Fitness classes are designed for those who want to move with intensity and intention. Whether you’re building functional strength, boosting bone density, or finding your rhythm in a high-energy HIIT session, these classes are about more than just the physical—they’re about sharpening your mental game and leaving you feeling empowered and resilient. High-energy, low-impact, and always soulful.

Strong

A structured, guided strength class that improves muscle strength and bone density. This low-impact workout utilises heavier weights to boost confidence, athletic performance and assist with injury prevention.

MMS Fit

This MMS signature HIIT style workout is designed to get your heart rate up, challenge your limits, and leave you feeling strong, energised, and inspired. An empowered, high intensity with low impact, ideal for those who want to work hard without stressing the joints. Work strength, endurance, focus, and resilience to power your physical progress and sharpen your mental game.

Mat Vibes

An invigorating, full-body workout using resistance props to challenge your limits and elevate your fitness. This dynamic, music-driven class blends flowing strength with energising movement to build heat, lift your heart rate, and engage your entire body. Expect creative sequences, a mood-boosting vibe, and soulful intention setting to deepen your connection between mind and body. Leaving you feeling empowered and more connected to YOU!

Boxing

This class combines strength, coordination, footwork, and partner drills to create a dynamic and engaging workout. Inspired by the connection between dance and boxing, you’ll move with intention, build endurance, and develop technique while staying connected to the rhythm of your body. Expect high energy, strong focus, and a fun, empowering environment. All levels welcome.
Sneakers are worn for this class.

Our adult dance classes are all about enjoying the freedom of movement while having a great time! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying it for the first time, everyone is welcome. Our classes are designed to boost your confidence, improve coordination, and help you unleash your inner dancer!

Adult Contemporary Dance

This class is perfect for anyone looking to explore movement, whether you’re new to dance or getting back into it. Drawing on contemporary dance techniques, each session includes a warm-up, guided improvisation, and themed movement phrases designed to improve coordination, strength, endurance, and mobility.

Adult Jazz Dance

Bold moves and pure joy! This high-energy class is all about embracing movement, building technique, and having a great time. Each session features a dynamic warm-up, jazz fundamentals, and focused work on alignment, kicks, turns, and leaps, plus an upbeat, funky routine to tie it all together. It’s a fun, feel-good way to relieve stress and energise your week.

Adult Classical Ballet

This is a gorgeous class suitable for those who have always wanted to try ballet or those who were once a budding ballerina. These classes are not designed to make you a Prima Ballerina, but to help you find the enjoyment of movement through this beautiful art form. We will explore the technical elements and correct alignment of ballet basics. You will improve your posture, strengthen your core and feel some muscles in your butt, legs and feet you didn’t know you had!

Vibe

This vibrant class is done with a lot of groove and a heap of heart. We breathe, we move, and we listen to what comes up. We reset the nervous system with some freestyle dancing and then heart raising moves. We strengthen and then we lengthen and then we rest. Let go of tension, stress and anything holding you back from being your fantastic phenomenal self. Expect an awesome soundtrack, ecstatic dance, a giggle or two, and occasional, but heartfelt profanities.

Yoga

The true heart of My Mama Said lies in our yoga classes. We draw on various lineages of yoga styles to create a challenging practice for the mind, body, and most importantly the soul. All our class sizes are limited so you get the time and attention you deserve.

Yoga Flow

Move through creative vinyasa flow sequences in this complete practice. Develop a deep connection to breath as you allow it to be the conductor of your movement. Flow classes will improve your energy levels, build muscle strength, promote balance and stability and help relieve stress.

Slow Flow

Expect slow, intentional movement with longer holds—around 5 breaths per pose—and flowing Vinyasa transitions throughout. Designed for those who want to move mindfully while cultivating strength, stability, and presence. The reward is the inner and outer glow as you lay peacefully in savasana. Intensity Level: 2-3

Glow

Warm the body and challenge the mind in this strong, steady practice. Expect slow, intentional movement with longer holds, around 5 breaths per pose, and flowing Vinyasa transitions throughout. Designed for those who want to move mindfully while cultivating strength, stability, and presence in 27° heat. Find inner peace through a focus on alignment, technique, and breath control.

Flow/Yin

Formerly known as Chill. A welcoming Flow into Yin class for all levels, gentle sequences to build warmth, followed by nourishing Yin postures for deep release and relaxation. The perfect yin/yang balance for when you want the best of both worlds!

Gentle Yoga

A replenishing practice encouraging you to take your time. Movement, pranayama (breath) and meditation suitable for beginners or anyone seeking rejuvenation. Explore the asanas (postures) with more ease and less effort.

Stretch

A therapeutic class to relieve tension, support joint health, and improve mobility. Combining deep stretches, gentle movement, and joint-focused techniques, you’ll strengthen end-range control and release stuck patterns. Ideal for counterbalancing stress, strength training, or sedentary habits. Expect mellow music, intuitive pacing, and space to explore your unique range of motion.

Yin

Let go and surrender to deep rest with this nurturing yin-style yoga practice. We restore the body and the mind with long hold stretching to relax muscles and lengthen fascia. Bolsters, blankets, candles and heavenly sounds make this your ultimate self-care class.

We are here to support you through every stage of your pregnancy. Our Prenatal-safe class options are designed to help you maintain strength and mobility in a grounded, boutique environment. You are welcome to join us for Barre, Barre Stretch, MMS Fit, Strong, Yin Yoga, and Gentle Yoga, as well as our Reformer OG classes.

Pilates with Bub

This class is specifically designed to help you regain strength and stability postpartum whilst spending time bonding with your baby.
These classes help you lengthen, strengthen and stretch the body safely.
